CALDER PARK	Welcome to Track Maps. Here we present interactive maps of racing-circuits from Australia. Very soon it is hoped to extend coverage to other countries. The maps integrate with Google-Maps. If you manage a venue offering facilities for circuit racing of cars or bikes, we would like to hear from you. We can offer to provide the link to a track-layout fitted in the G-M framework and add markers to show the particular features you consider would be of interest to your patrons. As long as there is no specific sponsorship in the content, we will provide this service on a first come, first served basis. There will be no charge for this service during the next few months. If you do wish to include sponsor-details, please contact us to discuss rates. See below for the details required when submitting a request.	PHILLIP ISLAND
Car Clubs are also invited to apply to have a map customised specifically to highlight driving style and car performance at various points around the tracks. This could prove quite useful when introducing drivers to an unfamiliar car-track combination. Again, this is a free service at the moment as long as there is no promotional material included [ other than a logo and a link to the Club's web-site ]. The examples shown on this page relate to the BMW E30 Racing Club in Victoria, Australia. These examples illustrate overlays on various Google-Maps. The maps for Sandown and Winton have been drawn where G-M information is incomplete. Some zoom-levels do not [ yet ] have Satellite views. With ample bandwidth and plenty of CPU power, these maps should display the 'little yellow car' running around the track in roughly the same time as a real car would. This is the first of many animated and interactive features we plan to add as technology allows. We hope within two years to be able to add real-time tracking for live events. Watch this space.
SANDOWN	To submit a map request, please provide the following... An image of the track layout with - for a circuit operator - mark points of interest on and around the track for a Car Club - mark points on the track that would be of interest to someone driving the track [ in car type-X ] A file containing textual details for each of the markers mentioned above An image of the Track or Club Logo that you would like to link back to your web-site [ as with the E30 Racing banner in the examples ] For any track that we have not mapped previously, also include a link to Google-Maps with track coordinates [ email us if unsure how to do this ].
