Another perfect weekend saw 15 e30s enter for the the first dedicated e30 race in years, with four guest drivers (David Coull, Rob Braune, Joe Ardi and Stan Karatzis) joining the regulars. The timetable was also great - Qualifying at 10:10am on Saturday, two races on Saturday afternoon and two on Sunday afternoon. Race 4 was unfortunately cancelled after an incident on turn 11 on lap one - luckily with little damage to the car, and no damage to the driver

Qualifying
Robert Braune showed he'll be a force to be reckoned with as he gets his new car sorted, gaining pole with a 1:29.5569, edging Oliver out by 0.0093 of a second (1:29.5662), with Matt third on 1:29.7302, another 0.1736 seconds behind. David Levy was the only other qualifier, aanother quarter of a second back at 1:29.9998. The next five were within a second of David, so the scene was set for some very close racing.

Race One – 8 laps
Stan Karatzis rocketed to the lead before turn one in his 2.8litre non-spec car, and ran away from everyone. Oliver led the regulation cars until Lap 4, when Matt went past and held the lead fotr the remainder of the race. Final placings for the regulation cars were Matt, Oliver, Anton, Paul, Simon, Sean, Steve, David, Brian and Alan.

The weather stayed perfect for Sunday morning's Race 3. ...

Race Four – 8 Laps
Race four was cancelled after Simon hit the tyre barrier coming onto the main straight.

Final placings for Round 3 of the BMW Drivers Cup were:
Matt, Oliver, Anton, David, Simon and Sean tied for 5th, Steve and Brian tied for 7th, Paul and Alan.

The BMW Drivers Cup top 6 standings after Round 2 are:
Matt, Oliver, Anton, Simon, Brian, Steve
